Dans cet article nous allons essayer de nous pencher sur la colorisation aux Promarkers. <\/span>En 2010, j’ai pris des cours de storyboard.<\/span> C’est \u00e0 cette occasion que j’ai \u00e9t\u00e9 confront\u00e9e \u00e0 ces marqueurs d’alcool, tr\u00e8s utilis\u00e9s par les storyboarders.<\/span> <\/span>J’ai appris \u00e0 les utiliser pendant ces cours, puis je les ai laiss\u00e9s pendant plusieurs ann\u00e9es pour leur retourner en 2015. Depuis lors, j’ai beaucoup de plaisir \u00e0 les utiliser, principalement pour mes portraits parisiens.<\/span>

\nToday we will talk about the colorization with the Promarker. In 2010, I took a storyboard class. It was on this occasion that I was confronted with these alcohol markers, very used by storyboarders. I learned to use them during these courses, then I left them for several years to get back to them in 2015. Since then I have a lot of pleasure in using them, mainly for my parisian portraits.<\/em><\/p>\n

Originellement les Promarker ont \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7us par la marque Letraset, qui poss\u00e9dait \u00e9galement les Tria. Ces deux mod\u00e8les de feutres \u00e0 alcool \u00e9taient tr\u00e8s utilis\u00e9s dans le stylisme, le design, l’architecture, le rough, l’illustration ou encore en \u00e9cole d’arts. Il y a quelques ann\u00e9es, Letraset a disparu au profit de la marque de beaux arts anglaise Winsor & Newton, connue tout particuli\u00e8rement pour son mat\u00e9riel d’aquarelle pr\u00e9vu pour l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Originally the Promarkers were designed by the Letraset brand, which also owned the Trias. These two models of alcohol markers were widely used in styling, in design, in architecture, in storyboard, in illustration and in art schools. Few years ago, Letraset disappeared in favor of the English fine art brand Winsor & Newton, known especially for its watercolor material intended for the exterior.

Qu’est ce que les Promarker ?<\/span>

Les Promarkers sont des feutres \u00e0 alcool \u00e0 double pointe, l’une fine pour les d\u00e9tails et l’autre biseaut\u00e9e pour les aplats. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 leur encre \u00e0 base d’alcool et de colorants, si ils sont utilis\u00e9s correctement, permettent une colorisation uniforme, des superpositions et de beaux d\u00e9grad\u00e9s.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Promarkers are twin-tipped alcohol markers, one fine bullet nib for details and the other broad chisel nib for larger surfaces. Thanks to their alcohol-based, translucent ink, if used correctly, they allow uniform coloring, superimposition and beautiful color gradients.<\/em><\/p>\n

Comment utiliser les Promarker ?<\/span>

Comme tout mat\u00e9riel de dessin les Promarker demandent de la pratique. Pour r\u00e9aliser de jolis aplats de couleurs uniformes il faut travailler vite et ne pas attendre que l’encre s\u00e8che. Pour un rendu net il faut faire des hachures c\u00f4te \u00e0 c\u00f4te de mani\u00e8re tr\u00e8s rapide, avec la pointe fine pour les petites surfaces et avec la pointe biseaut\u00e9e lorsque la surface \u00e0 colorier est plus \u00e9tendue.<\/span><\/p>\n

Like any drawing material the Promarkers need some practice. To achieve nice solid color, you have to work fast and not to wait for the ink to dry. For a clean rendering it is necessary to make lines side by side very quickly, with the fine nib for the small surfaces and with the chisel nib when the surface to be colored is more extended.<\/em><\/p>\n

L’encre transperce le papier comme avec tous les marqueurs \u00e0 alcool. Ne vous attendez donc pas \u00e0 dessiner au recto et au verso de vos pages (m\u00eame si certain(e)s font des choses tr\u00e8s belles avec ces accidents). Soit il vous faut vous munir de papier layout, m\u00eame si personnellement je n’ai jamais trouv\u00e9 de bloc de papier qui me plaisait. Soit pour \u00e9viter que les marqueurs ne laissent de traces sur la page d’apr\u00e8s mettre une feuille juste en dessous de celle sur laquelle vous dessinez.<\/span><\/p>\n

The ink penetrates the paper as with all alcohol markers. So do not expect to draw on the front and back of your pages (although some do very nice things with these accidents). Either you need some layout paper, even if I personally never found a block of paper that I liked. Either to prevent the markers to bleed on the next page, place a sheet of paper just below that on which you draw.<\/em><\/p>\n

Je vous conseille \u00e9galement d’encrer votre dessins juste apr\u00e8s avoir fait le gros de la couleur, tout simplement car dans certains cas les marqueurs peuvent faire baver l’encre. \u00c7a serait dommage de g\u00e2cher un dessin sur lequel vous avez pass\u00e9 du temps. \u00a0I also advise you to ink your drawings just after doing the bulk of the color, simply because in some cases the markers can make the ink smudge. It would be a shame to spoil a drawing on which you have spent time. A demonstration of my method:<\/em><\/p>\n
